The Chairman of State Administration Council of Myanmar has signed the Notification no. 82/2023 on March 10, 2023. Thus, the Trademark Law shall come into effect from April 1, 2023.
As mentioned in our previous updates on March 9, 2023, we anticipate that there are some necessary actions to be proceeded after the enforcement of the Trademark Law.
It is not yet officially announced but we expect that form TM-2 (Appointment of Representative) will be necessary. We will send out the form to be executed and notarized once it becomes available.
We will closely monitor for any updates with our local associate and keep the client informed thereof.
