Lao DIP has taken steps to facilitate the process in filing applications by revoking the requirement of notarization of original Power of Attorney, Deed of Inventorship, Assignment, Licensing, Declaration of Change of Name and/or Address according to the Notice of Department of Intellectual Property no. 0973/DIP dated June 26, 2023.
Consequently, we no longer require notarization of the original documents mentioned above. Simply signed thereof will be sufficient. However, the original simply signed document(s) is still be necessary for submission to Lao DIP.
In case of any doubt, Lao DIP will request verification through the respective representative as in the Power of Attorney.
