As announced in the "News" on our website as follows, Myanmar's Industrial Design Law came into effect on October 31, 2023, and the Intellectual Property Department of Myanmar (IPD Myanmar) started accepting applications for design registration on February 1, 2024.

Now, on September 5, 2024, Myanmar IP Department has announced the first publication for Applications and Registration of the Industrial Design in Myanmar. Please be informed that the INDUSTRIAL DESIGN JOURNAL NO. ID/2024/01, publication date September 5, 2024 which contained “ Publication to open opposition of Industrial Design applications” can be seen in the following Website of IP Department : https://www.ipd.gov.mm/translate/publication-for-opposition-of-industrial-design
With regard to the section 31 of the Industrial Design Law, any person who wants to oppose the application for registration of Industrial Design may, within 60 days from the date of publication, file an opposition with the application form ID-7 to the Registrar by subscribing the prescribed fee, and stating any grounds mentioned in section 31 of the Industrial Design Law
