In addition, the government initially planned to increase Value Added Tax (VAT) to 12% impacting various sectors starting in January 2025. However, after significant public protests, the policy has changed that the 12% VAT rate will only apply exclusively to “luxury goods”. At this moment, this is the most updated information.
